Datuk Thomas Leong Yew Hong is the Group Chief Strategy Officer of Sime Darby. As a key member of the Group Management Committee, Datuk Leong leads the development of Sime Darby\u2019s overall strategy, ensuring growth through mergers & acquisitions, and is responsible for the business development, corporate finance and investor relations, as well as the Group\u2019s communications functions. He also has oversight of the Group\u2019s new venture into the mobility sector. Datuk Leong joined the Group as the Head of Group Strategy and Corporate Finance in 2016.<\/p>\n

Previously, Datuk Leong was the Executive Vice President and Head of Maybank\u2019s Group Strategy and Business Development. He was a founding member of Maybank Group Digital. Datuk Leong has also held senior positions as a management consultant in Accenture and Deloitte Consulting, based in Australia and Hong Kong.<\/p>\n

Datuk Leong is a Director of Sime Darby Eastern International, Sime Darby Lockton Insurance Brokers, Ramsay Sime Darby Healthcare and various private limited companies within the Sime Darby Group. Previously, he has been a Board member of Tesco Stores (Malaysia) and Weifang Sime Darby Port Co.<\/p>\n

Datuk Leong is an alumnus of Harvard Business School. He holds a BSc in Software Engineering degree from Australian National University, and an MBA from University of Sydney. He has also completed executive leadership programmes at INSEAD.\u00a0<\/p>\n
