Matthew is the Head of Digital for the Business Department at Hong Kong China Rugby; the team behind the Cathay\/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens. He leads the digital strategy across assets, channels, advertising and insights to support ticket sales, e-commerce, hospitality and the delivery of digital partnership entitlements. The 2024 Cathay\/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens was the first sold-out event since the pandemic and saw a full return of overseas visitors who travelled in for the bucket list spectacle.<\/p>\n

Matt is gearing up the organisation with smart solutions for a move to a purpose-built smart stadium at Kai Tak Sports Park, and leads on business transformation to achieve objectives. An accomplished entrepreneur, Matt has worked in the corporate strategy team at BlackRock; notched up 25 caps and two International Men\u2019s Player of the Year Awards for the Hong Kong China rugby team; all while starting up a well-renowned online butchery in Hong Kong. Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Science with a major in finance and accounting from the University of Cape Town.<\/p>\n
