Leela Barrock, Chief Communications Officer at Sime Darby Plantation Berhad since September 2021, has 25+ years in media and communications. She started as a financial journalist at Business Times in 1994, later joining The Edge to cover diverse sectors. In 2008, she became Head of Global Communications at Sime Darby Berhad, overseeing Communications, Corporate Affairs, CSR, and Investor Relations for nine years. In 2017, she founded a strategic communications and crisis management consultancy. Leela was admitted to the Bar of England and Wales in 1992. She served as Vice President of the Malaysian Institute of Corporate Governance and was on the Board of Trustees at Cancer Research Malaysia from 2017 to 2020.<\/p>\n
